A builder working on my house, he is using an electric chisel on a door frame. Faint voices can be heard of neighbours later on. Recorded using zoom h4n.

The sound of birds and distant thunder awoke me from a long nap, and so i sprung off the couch and grabbed my recording equipment, dashing outside just in time to record the arrival of a thunderstorm. Over the course of this clip, the storm gets closer and closer, until it starts to rain with increasing intensity. The clip is nicely unmolested by wind, and contains a nice background of birds. A tremendous thunderclap is featured in the middle, three minutes in.

Raindrops ticking on an open roof window, very faint thunder in the distance. Recorded on a zoom h1.

This is a full acoustic drumkit sampled at multiple velocities with drum sticks and brushes, it was recorded in a small jazz bar at a local music school, i recorded this a long time ago with a zoom h1 portable recorder. It would still need some sorting and tweaking to build a soundfont or hydrogen drumkit which i want to do in the future but it will probably not be anytime soon.

A thunderstorm in the night at 2:30 am. Starts calm with some crickets. At 1:02 a magpie can be heard, which seems to be startled by the first thunderclap. Recorded in south germany near heilbronn. (june 2015)original is a a 4-channel record in irt-cross arrangement by using 4xnt1 from rode and a zoom h6 recorder. The spatial impression is best if headphones are used. For stereo >the left-front+left-rear<and the >right-front+right-rear< channelwas mixed to a left and right file.

A horn sound signaling danger approaching. Gradually increasing, it's basically saying, "oh crap, what is that?" originally recorded on a zoom h2, it's a sound of me humming. Of course it's been filtered, slightly stretched and had distortions of a high degree thrown in and filtered more to achieve the horn sound. Enjoy!.

Dark analogue synthy sound created by a low tuned electric guitar, plucking an open low 'c' string. Effects used is a combination of a zoom bass multi fx pedal and a boss dd20 delay pedal. Recorded direct to a tascam digital recorder.

Created with a doepfer a-100 modular synthesizer sequenced by a korg sq-1 processed by a zoom multistomp ms-70cdr guitar multi-fx pedal, using the particle and hd reverb. Audio source is a self-resonating, modulated doepfer a-108 vcf8. The reverbs ran in series. The manual states that the particle reverb is based on the line6 m9 particle verb. This sound consists on the effect of opening a trash container, it is made of plastic but the pedals that force the mechanism to open are made of steel. The sound is like displacing plastic strongly. The sound was recorded with a zoom h4 recorder, while opening the trash container pulling the pedal. It was recorded on tanger street, behind the upf poblenou campus in barcelona.
